IR Demountable Cell Assembly (Lightpath: 0.05-1mm)
The demountable cell assembly is the best choice for analyzing liquid samples, capillary films and mulls. This cell consists of two IR optical windows with a lead spacer in between to form a completely airtight, chemical-resistant compartment. Luer-Lok filling ports are included so you can easily inject your sample.
This is not a permanently fixed assembly and the windows are not amalgamated together. Sample can be added and removed and the lightpath can be adjusted by adding or removing spacers.
Depending on the spacers used, this cell can be made to have the following lightpaths: 0.05mm, .1mm, .2mm, .5mm and 1mm.
Cell Assembly
When using the Firebird rectangular demountable assembly the procedure is different depending on whether you are working with liquids or mulls/capillary films.
Liquid Assembly:
When using a liquid sample, the cell will need to be built with one undrilled window and a drilled window.
Mulls or Capillary Film assembly:
A mull or capillary film sample will require either one or two undrilled windows.
Additional Specs:
The aperture size on the 41x23x4mm window setup is 10x22mm.
The aperture size on the 25x4mm window setup is 14mm.

Potassium Chloride (KCl Windows)- 210nm-20µm
Potassium Bromide (KBr Windows)- 250nm-26µm
Calcium Fluoride (CaF2 Windows)- 130nm-9.5µm
Zinc Selenide (ZnSe Windows)- 1-14µm
