Gas Cells for FTIR Sampling
Short pathlength cells are useful for measuring higher concentration gas samples. Firebird Optics gas cells can be used on samples with concentrations of 100ppm and above. These cells are airtight and made for extreme pressure applications in excess of 1 x 10-8 Torr.
Type EX Glass Body FTIR Gas Cell with Tubes (Lightpaths: 50-100mm)
Type EX Glass Body FTIR Gas Cell with Tubes (Lightpaths: 50-100mm)
The Type EX Glass Body FTIR Gas Cell is for analyzing gas samples with component concentrations above 1% by weight. Featuring a Pyrex Glass body and inlet/outlet tubes, these can be used under pressure and paired with Firebird’s line of IR 25x4mm windows.
This cell can be used in moderate pressure and temperature applications where glass/quartz spectroscopy samples are impractical. If you are interested in Optical Glass and UV Quartz versions of this cell, check out the Type 34 from our friends at FireflySci. They rock.
This assembly can be fitted with Firebird Optics high grade optical windows and snapped into any commercial FTIR spectrophotometer.
Can either be ordered as an empty assembly or with a pair of 25x4mm undrilled optical windows.
There is currently a leadtime of 2-3 weeks.
Design:
Our glass body FTIR Gas Cells provide high throughput by virtue of their greater inside diameter providing more energy at the FTIR detector. These also include straight bore glass inlet/outlet tubes for flow input of the gas sample and sealing as well as caps for sealing the solution inside the cell.
Available in 50 and 100mm lightpath and contains a 3x2” back plate, which enables fitment in all FTIR spectrometers.
Rated for atmospheric pressure. If you need a higher pressure option check out our Type GC-10SS
